Mobilisation of the Neuroimmune System
12 lipnja @ 08:30 - 13 lipnja @ 17:30

Mobilise – to prepare, to awaken and to move.
NOI’s classic, longest running course, Mobilisation of the Nervous System, has evolved. Based on the latest evidence, the course has been completely updated and re-written.
The immune system via its interaction with the nervous system is a critical player in learning, memory, movement and sensitivity. This new understanding integrates peripheral and central processes and targets therapy towards healthy neuroimmune balance.
This comprehensive lecture and hands-on course integrates the latest research on neurodynamics and neuroimmune science to provide a clinical reasoning framework to identify those patients who will benefit from neuroimmune mobilisation.
The course updates and refines the essential practical skills to examine and manage the physical health of the nervous system – skilled, safe and appropriately timed handling techniques are covered in detail during practical sessions.
A comprehensive course on the diagnosis and management of physical dysfunction of the nervous system. With 50% practical work and the latest neurobiology, clinicians will be able to rapidly merge the material into all existing manual therapy frameworks.
COURSE AIMS:
1. Provide a basic knowledge of neuroanatomy, neurodynamics, neuroimmunology and neuropathobiology related to the manual examination of the nervous system.
2. Teach safe and effective diagnostic skills in the examination and interpretation of physical dysfunction of the nervous system.
3. Present neurodynamic movements and techniques as antigenic.
4. Provide new therapeutic narrative for explaining symptoms in conditions with altered neurodynamics.
5. Deliver a deeper understanding of known, ‘tough’ clinical presentations such as chronic nerve root problems and persistent entrapment pathologies.
INSTRUCTOR: Ben Davies, PhD MSc MCSP, UK
An experienced NOI Instructor in the UK, Ben has taught EP, MONIS and GMI courses in the UK & Europe since 2008. His background as a physiotherapist involves primary, secondary and tertiary care settings. The majority of Ben’s experience is with people who have complex, persistent pain presentations. Currently Ben works in primary care for Virgincare (Bath and Northeast Somerset, UK) as professional lead for physiotherapy and clinical specialist physiotherapist in pain management.
Ben’s PhD at the University of the West of England was in painful diabetic neuropathy, exploring whether this group of people could benefit from the pain management approaches which are relatively common in the MSK pain world, but not in the diabetic world.
